Mr. Atkin is a high-level executive with proven expertise in branding, positioning and selling products and services to large public and private sector clients. He is an effective team builder and a leader in creating strategic and tactical marketing programs for online, channel and direct sales. Mr. Atkin possesses a keen sense of marketing and brand stewardship.
He has held high-level marketing positions with a variety of successful enterprise, internet, and healthcare technology companies. Most recently, as VP marketing at iMetrikus, he developed the brand strategy for the company's healthcare technology products and directed the efforts to evolve its market position since its inception. He has served as Director of Marketing for WebSideStory, Inc., a profitable, publicly held internet technology company providing tools for tracking and analysis of visitors to a web site, as well as reporting global internet user trends. Mr. Atkin has also served as Director of Marketing for Excalibur Technologies, (now known as Convera after their merger with Intel Corp.) a publicly held company that develops and markets knowledge management and multimedia asset management software products.
For 10 years prior to Excalibur, Mr. Atkin was the principle of Atkin/Hargett Design, a successful New Mexico-based advertising and marketing firm providing services to high-technology, hospitality and Native American interests. He holds a Bachelor's Degree (magna cum laude) from the University of New Mexico through their General Honors Program.
